| The Solo |
 |
Featuring the music of Carl Palmer (Emerson Lake and Palmer, Asia etc.)
A film exploring the relationship between music and space by focusing on
a much-maligned musical form: the rock drum solo. Carl Palmer composed and
performed a seris of solos especially for the film. Each solo explores different
aspects of percussion and the inherent complexities within rythm and sound.
The Solo was first exhibited as a twin-screen gallery 'installation'
at Ikon Eastside, Birmingham 1 - 25 July 2010.
